
Courtney's Corner presented by Select Physical Therapy is a one-stop-shop for fans, trainers, aspiring trainers, coaches and the casual visitor to find weekly tips, videos and information covering nutrition, fitness, muscle management and injury prevention and care from Courtney Watson, the Athletic Trainer of the WNBA's premier team, the Los Angeles Sparks.
Daily Servings of Fruits & Vegetables How many servings of fruit and vegetables did you eat today? We should try our best to eat at least 5-9 servings of fruit and vegetables everyday for optimal health. Consume regular meals and snacks because for most athletes it is almost impossible to meet nutrition requirements with less than three meals and two-three snacks each day!
FREE ATHLETIC TRAINING CLINIC!
Join Sparks Head Athletic Trainer Courtney Watson on Wednesday, August 4th for a free athletic training clinic at STAPLES Center from 12-2pm. This clinic is for all current and aspiring trainers, coaches and anyone else with an interest or need for athletic training skills. The clinic will feature guest speakers and will cover injury prevention and management, flexibility and resistance training, concussion assessment, nutrition, hydration and more. All participants will receive free parking, a ticket to the Sparks game the same day and three lucky attendees will be selected to observe our head trainer behind the scenes on a gameday!
