"I'm thrilled Jessica will continue this journey with us,” said Sky Head Coach and General Manager Pokey Chatman. “She immediately made a positive impact on both ends of the floor, garnering All-Star honors, but more importantly she helped us contend for a title. I'm looking forward to her continued growth.”

After coming to Chicago as a free agent prior to the start of the 2014 season, Breland appeared in 32 games, setting career highs in every statistical category. The 6-foot-3 forward recorded four double-doubles through her first six games with Chicago while setting personal bests for steals (3), free throws (5-for-6) and rebounds (15). Breland’s strong play through May and June earned her a spot on the Eastern Conference All-Star team, and her all-around efforts in July and August helped the Sky secure its second consecutive playoff berth. After finishing the 2014 season with new career-high averages for rebounds (6.8), steals (0.9), blocks (1.8) and points (9.7) per game, Breland proved to be an integral piece in the Sky’s run to the WNBA Finals.
